Last updated: 2026-05-28

These terms govern your use of Meetwit, a local-first AI meeting assistant for macOS and Windows distributed as open-source software.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Meetwit, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. The software

Meetwit is provided as free, open-source software under the MIT License. It runs entirely on your own device; there is no Meetwit-operated service, account, or server. You are responsible for your own device, data, and any third-party services you connect.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Third-party services

Meetwit can optionally connect to third-party services at your direction (e.g. Google Calendar, cloud LLM providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

5. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Transcripts and AI-generated summaries may be inaccurate; do not rely on them as a sole record.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE.

7. Privacy

Your use of Meetwit is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
